Intra-agency Cross Training & Easing Work Rules for Greater Job Flexibility, Satisfaction and Better Fit for the Most Effective Contributions to NYC
Civil Service offers excellent career opportunities and job stability, but that can be a terrible trap if stuck in an unsatisfying position with responsibilities far below ones talents. We can loosen rigid work rules to encourage staff to seek the best possible fit to make the most of what they have to offer to the city. City agencies can be encouraged/incentivized to hire staff from other agencies to make it easier for staff to move between agencies for short and long term reassignments.
