Hybrid/telecommute options for City employees: how to implement this policy
Building on the overwhelming popularity and critical need for this, here is a possible solution:
Since all employees have a civil service title, filter them all into 3 buckets: jobs that need to be in person (trash pick up, firefighters), jobs that have an in person component (pub. programming), and jobs that can be entirely remote. Based on the title, you get a bank of leave in CityTime to use for telecommuting. Supervisors would have the final say on usage based on their needs.
