City Staff Ideas Challenge

The city is working within the prism of an outdated system. Implementing an innovative and flexible work from home schedule would greatly improve the work life balance of city employees. If the city remains antiquated, they will continue to lose tremendous talent over to the private sector making it harder to continually attract the next generation of workers. There are some people who don’t mind working in-office 5 days a week. But since March 2020, city employees have shown that they could be both efficient and productive without entering an office 5 times a week. A flexible work from home option will: 1) decrease COVID spreading within the office making the offices much more spacious and safer, 2) eliminate stressful, long commutes to and from work, and 3) increase personal enjoyment and fulfilment in employees current job roles. This is a step in the right direction. Mayor Adams and City Council needs to get on board and support this teleworking idea.

Perhaps the covid 19 pandemic is the way businesses can realize how to work effectively. In order for the business to be able to operate during that time, it must have an online method to maintain. The marketing with customers will use through the online form, the work also develops according to this form of work. Therefore, the pandemic presents both opportunities and challenges. Currently, the translation situation is basically saturated, but the online form is still developing on drift boss, doing its job well.

During the acute phase of the pandemic, stressors such as social distancing, re-organization of family life, school and businesses. We need recycling machines for medical waste. I am looking for industrial shredders.
