Daycare subsidy for city workers
City workers are faced with the choice of either dropping out of the workforce or paying on average $21,000 for daycare when deciding to have children. For most city workers which make less than $90k a year, the burden of daycare is at least 30% of their income! The monetary support for city workers should be at least 50% of the cost of childcare.
