#nycspeaks2022 Share your ideas for bold actions the Mayor should take
Create a centralized TLC location for property lost in a taxi. Instead of the taxi driver trying to turn in property to a police station, they should turn it into a TLC center. People are forced to call multiple police precincts multiple time to check to see if it their property was turned. Not only is this inefficient and a waste of time for the person who lost the item it also ties up police lines and personnel which can be better utilized handling literally anything else.

Great idea. In each borough, TLC has identified specific Police Precincts for items to be removed to when a driver located them in the vehicle. For example, in Manhattan one of the Precincts is Central Park in the 86th Street Transverse. The other Precinct I believe is Mid-Town South. Maybe TLC can do a campaign to educate passengers on this, seatbelts, and other unique TLC rules and regs that effect their ridership.
