#nycspeaks2022 Share your ideas for bold actions the Mayor should take
We need space in NYC. During this ongoing pandemic people went outdoors for a change of scenery from wfh all day. There's a lot of old parking lots/ abandoned storefronts/ greenspace that sit unused that can be evaluated to see if it can be turned into a space NYers can use to relax and interact outside. These can be community gardens, greenspaces, workspace, and plazas. A pilot program can be made where people can report spaces that may be considered for redevelopment.

The inequitable distribution of open space/green space throughout the city became clearer than ever during the pandemic. Open Streets was a start, but this could lead to something more permanent, lovelier, and more green!
