Stop damaging roads and causing additional safety risks when snow is in the forecast
If there is a trace of snow in the forecast and sometimes if the temperature goes below freezing, the salt spreaders are out in full force. Unless the snow is sticking to the roads, they are not necessary. While they remove SOME black ice, it is not worth the additional road damage, traffic, and air pollution. People have also been struck and killed by these salt spreaders. They should be used as little as possible. The money saved from this proposal could be used to fund another proposal
