Revise the Criteria and Selection Process for Affordable Housing For Municipal Employees
Municipal employee's kept New York City running, including but not limited to healthcare and HRA services that allowed NYC residents to maintain not only their health but essential services. All done without a contract. Yet, we are only allotted 5%, of the newly constructed luxury apartments marketed under 'Affordable Housing'. We deserve a greater preferential percentage and easier selection process without community board restrictions.

Same here Rosie! I literally emailed to Commissioner of HPD last night! It is absolutely INSANE that we do not qualify, nor are we able to qualify based on income. This median income percentage qualifying method is FLAWED and UNFAIR! Also, I have seen many occasions shown on the news how people have scammed the system to get into these affordable housing new properties . One person made almost $250K and was living in an affordable housing apartment! Absolute insanity! The whole method needs to be rebuilt from the floor up.
