More Career and Technical Education in NYC schools
Expand the availability of Career and Technical Education in NYC high schools. Offer internships at City agencies and in collaboration with trade unions so that trained and experienced NYC teens can get a job right after high school.
So many students know that college is not for them and just want to find a steady job that they're good at. Let's reallocate some of the billions of dollars that go into K-12 education to train the next generation of essential workers.

This is a great idea and should be combined with the "Create a Program that provides city exams (NYPD / FDNY / DSNY etc.) to high school students" program suggested. This will assist with planning to replace our aging workforce and assist with staffing shortages for example Nursing. As an RN, I believe this is a much needed program.
