City Staff Ideas Challenge

I think this is a great idea. High schoolers should learn the basics of filing their taxes, investing their money, credit card debt, credit scores and being able to make good financial decisions as an adult.

This would be good for students in Junior & Senior year of High school. Make this class a pass/fail. This will help them make educated decisions starting with student loans after high school, and into their college career.

Great idea, but I think it should be taught as early as 9th grade so they have time during their high school years to learn/explore/do more. Creat a culture at school encouraging that it’s important/cool to be financially educated and responsible.
