Affordable Housing
As of 3/9 the # of workers going into NYC offices is < 38% of pre-pandemic levels. Large %s of commercial space are unused throughout the city, much of which could be converted into affordable housing. NYC can develop incentives - tax abatements, credits - to convert unused commercial buildings to affordable housing units. Affordable housing is the #1 issue on the minds of NYC residents, evidenced by your extensive polling.
