Fun Working Environment
Great companies consistently earn significantly higher marks for “fun”. Studies reveal that making a workplace fun may be an inexpensive, profitable mechanism of engagement that correlates directly with increasing employee job satisfaction, cultivating morale, and improving quality of customer service. So how about it! Let’s be the first City Government to make its facilities fun, energetic and enjoyable

Every day 10 minutes dance work out would do wonders!
If we have to come to the office, our bosses should at least try to motivate us to come in. Having snacks available and doing bonding activities with coworkers will put people in a much better mood.
It is also important to remember that companies offer these kinds of perks to encourage their employees to spend more time in the office. They are given food, relaxation stations, entertainment, etc, so they don't have to leave the office to go get lunch, take a break, get some space. It's not out of the goodness of the employer, it's to encourage more production
While I agree with this notion to make employees more productive, they will just tell us go work for another company then. They will tell us NYC employees are too needy and entitled. The truth is there is absolutely no motivation to come to work. The office isn't fun. The policies are too rigid. No relaxed clothing. Of course, I'm not saying employee should come in naked but relax everything. I know a certain company that gave their employees company credit card to shop for a comfortable work from home furniture and devices. Anything to make them comfortable and do the work. The least amount an employee got on the company credit card was $3,000. Folks even have 2 monitors, supplies, refreshments and guess what, the employer actually said production went up by over a 1000%. They canceled their lease at the building they occupied and spread the money on employees' wages and income.
