Bridging the gap between youth and seniors</p><p><strong>Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community? </strong></p><p>Some seniors are living alone in the community and are unable to attend senior centers. While we offer a virtual option there's nothing like face to face contact. Decreasing isolation for seniors can prevent so many other illnesses. relationships are extremely important in well-being as we age. Seniors have so much wisdom to share and could potentially help a youth in the direction of a course of study, future careers, etc. Both parties can learn new skills. Greater bonds between the generations creates a stronger and healthier community. </p><p><strong>What idea do you have to address the problem?</strong></p><p>Youth helping seniors learn how to use technology, wellness visits, assisting seniors with errands, arts and recreation programs between youth and seniors, partnering in person is groups and activities, etc.</p><p><strong>Who would that help?</strong></p><p>It would help the youth, the senior and the community as a whole.
